James Fish 29e0fadec1 Fix compiler abstract code 
Previously the source filename of a module was sometimes a binary, this
change ensures it is always an erlang string.

Previously dialyzer did not know not to auto import bifs as it does not
read the compile options from a beam. This change uses an attribute in
the abstract code rather than a compile option so that dialyzer does not
auto import bifs.

When running on unix, we may emit warnings if the filesystem
is not configured to latin1, so we relax the tests assertion
to account for the warnings.

Alexei Sholik f35dd567a1 Add String.split_at 
While it is straightforward to split a string given
an offset in bytes from its beginning like this

    <<left::[binary, size(offset)], right::binary>> = string

splitting at grapheme boundary or using negative offset
is not so simple. Hence this function.

By making them unicode, it was impossible match on binary streams,
as unicode expects valid unicode strings.

Martin Schürrer 73a76c6f7c Update example to use Map.put/3, accordingly with the last proposal 
[Proposal 1](https://gist.github.com/josevalim/9acd0fe43063cbc33aa6)
has the update operation also put new keys in the map, while the
[2nd proposal](https://gist.github.com/josevalim/b30c881df36801611d13)
doesn't support this. The docs reflected the first proposal.
